Retail Sales Associate

Outdoor Gear Exchange is looking for passionate and experienced outdoor-loving folks to help our customers find what they need for their next adventure.

Employees will be expected to work during the holidays and weekends. The position is full-time, 40 hours a week, and will require one or both weekend days. Part-time applicants will only be considered if they have considerable outdoor retail experience and can work at least 16 hours a week, inclusive of one weekend day.

Salary: $32,320+ / year ($15.54 / hour)


Service Technician

Outdoor Gear Exchange in Burlington, VT is looking to hire a full time Bike/Ski Technician to join our Service Team. We are a full service shop with a focus on high level customer service and quality work. We perform a wide range of bicycle repair services from full shock overhauls and custom wheel building, to winter commuter restorations and everything in between. Additionally, we offer a range of mounting, repair, and tuning services for skis and snowboards with a focus on getting customers in the backcountry.

The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of previous shop experience, the ability to perform most standard bike repairs with suspension experience being a plus, be familiar with ski/snowboard mounting and tuning, have strong customer service skills, and be able to multitask in a fast paced work environment. This position may also require time spent on the sales floor.

Salary for this position ranges from $16.07 - $22/ hour depending on experience with competitive benefits and we are willing to provide some on-job training for the right candidate.


Logistics & Facility Operations Specialist

Outdoor Gear Exchange (OGE) is seeking a dedicated Logistics and Facility Operations Specialist to play a crucial role in supporting our logistics and facility operations departments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, basic facility maintenance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth functioning of our operations. In the logistics realm, you'll be picking, packing, and shipping customer orders accurately and efficiently. You'll manage backstock, conduct regular audits, and triage incoming items. Inventory control movements and timely restocking on the sales floor will be part of your routine. On the facility operations front, you'll perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, support ongoing projects, handle materials, and collaborate with the cleaning staff.

To excel in this role, you should have the ability to drive an F150 with an attached trailer and a box truck, possess solid woodworking, basic mechanics, and construction skills, and understand cleaning procedures and maintenance tasks. Excellent organizational and time-management skills are essential, and proven experience in logistics, shipping, and receiving roles is preferred. If you are a proactive problem solver, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply. Salary: $38,000 / year ($18.27 / hour)


Logistics Specialist

Outdoor Gear Exchange (OGE) is seeking a Logistics Specialist to play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics and supply chain processes. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around shipping, receiving, managing back stock, conducting incoming and outgoing triage, restocking the sales floor(s), and overseeing inventory control movements. The desired schedule we're looking for is a Tuesday-Saturday week, 8am-4pm hours.

A well-qualified applicant will have proven experience in logistics, shipping, and receiving roles. They will have strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory records. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proficient in using logistics management software and MS Office suite and the ability to lift and carry heavy items (~50 pounds).

Salary: $33,000 / year ($15.87 / hour)
