The Newmark Freelock is the result of a complete rethink of our historic Newmark binding from 2016. The objective was clear: bring in a lighter, smarter, and more versatile form of the Newmark, while applying the technologies, materials, and attention to detail that define ATK today. In challenging snow conditions, the system enables a safe emergency descent using a Telemark boot equipped with a dedicated rear insert, while remaining fully compatible with alpine touring boots. The Newmark Freelock is designed to maximize versatility, allowing the same ski setup to be used for Telemark, alpine touring, and alpine skiing in a unique all-in-one platform.

Features

Freelock heel system locks the heel into a full pin setup for stability or converts to Telemark and alpine touring modes

Universal NTN compatibility configurable for S and L boot sizes in a single version

Removable NTN module reduces foot weight during climbs to save energy on the ascent

Snowpack Proof System beneath the NTN module and toe piece prevents snow and ice buildup

Includes two spring kits (soft pre-installed, stiff in box) for customizable flex and response

Telepathic Step-In design for quick, effortless toe entry

Adjustable emergency release system located directly under the front lever

Fully CNC-machined 7075 aluminum construction for optimal strength and minimal weight

Integrated 30 mm length adjustment plate in the heel piece accommodates multiple boot sole lengths without remounting

Six-screw toe piece mounting pattern compatible with ATK M06 drilling jig

Compatible with ATK SBC02 leash and optional front ski brake accessories

Specifications

Weight (Uphill Mode)

340 g

Weight (Downhill Mode)

560 g

Materials

Alu 7075, POM, Stainless Steel

Heel Adjustment Range

30 mm

Release Range

Adjustable emergency release

Boot Size Adjustment

Adjustable for S and L NTN soles

Toe Piece Release Adjustability

Adjustable emergency release

Ski Brake System

Front ski brake (sold separately as accessory)

Ideal Ski Width

80 – 120 mm

Ideal Ski Weight

1500 – 2500 g

Ideal Skier Weight

60 – 120 kg
