voile-switchback-cable-binding-sc9dj-grey
Voile - Switchback Cable Binding - Grey

The Voilé Switchback Cable brings full free-pivot touring efficiency to leather-boot cross-country downhill (XCD) setups. Built by pairing the proven Switchback toe piece with a classic 3-Pin Cable-style heel assembly, it gives compatible 75mm leather boots a cleaner fit, an effortless forward stride, and rapid transitions across undulating backcountry terrain. With a simple flick of a ski pole, the binding toggles smoothly into free-pivot walk mode—no removing or stowing cables required. When paired with scaled-base touring skis like the Voilé Endeavor BC, it preserves the seamless rhythm of XCD exploration: climb, glide, turn, and repeat with minimal fuss and maximum mobility.

Features

Free-pivot touring mode eliminates toe-resistance for an effortless, energy-efficient uphill stride

Fast, pole-activated latch mechanism toggles between walk mode and locked downhill ski mode on the fly

Integrated cable assembly stays in place during transitions—no unhooking, removing, or stowing required

Hybrid design pairs the proven Switchback touring toe with a compliant, spring-tensioned cable heel loop

Includes dual heel riser pads with 65mm and 80mm climbing wires for steep skin track ascents

Ideal complement to waxless scaled skis for continuous backcountry touring and rolling meadow cruising

Engineered specifically for compatible leather 75mm telemark boots (e.g., Crispi Svartisen 75 and select Alico models)

Sold as a pair

Specifications

Binding Style

75mm Free-Pivot Cable Telemark / XCD Binding

Touring Mode

Free-Pivot Walk Mode with Pole-Activated Switch

Heel Risers

Dual Height Climbing Wires (65 mm / 80 mm) with Heel Pads Included

Toe Mechanism

Voilé Switchback Free-Pivot Mechanism

Heel Assembly

3-Pin Cable-Style Coil Expansion Springs with Locking Throw

Intended Use

Cross-Country Downhill (XCD) & Backcountry Touring

Boot Compatibility

Compatible 75mm Leather Boots (e.g., Crispi Svartisen 75, Select Alico Models)

Incompatibility Warning

DO NOT use with plastic telemark boots (e.g., Scarpa T4) or boots with thinner duckbills (e.g., Alpina Alaska 75)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0678/6138/1276/files/voile-switchback-cable-binding-main_1919x1920_42249134-38f4-465f-b152-dd84b88a3ab1.jpg?v=1793833143
