The Women's Salewa Alpine Mate Winter Mid Waterproof Boot was tailor-made for hiking alpine altitudes and winter conditions. From top to bottom, it comes stacked with quality materials, all tailored into a brilliant design. The Pomoca™ Winter Hike outsole utilizes a rugged lug pattern that'll grip ice, mud, and snow, with no problem. Above is a durable EVA midsole built with shock absorption and ready to cushion your every footfall. The Mate's capstone fabric, its upper, is made with a suede and stretch fabric that'll shed off the elements thanks to a waterproof, breathable membrane. The lynchpin to this boot's construction comes in the form of its SALEWA® 3F System, a feature made of Kevlar cables that connect the instep area with the sole and heel for additional heel support and a stable fit. So expect a boot that'll handle mountaineering and more, right out of the box.
