Our Favorite Fall Outfits
Sam Snyder
Fall in the Northeast is a wonderfully weird time of year. It's arguably the most visually stunning season that North America has to offer. But consider the temperature and weather and we have a different story. We've all woken up to frost, needing 2 puffies to start the day, and by noon, you swap your puffies for shorts. The second the sun sets behind the trees later that same day, we're back to the huddling in puffies. The clothing choices in fall have to be just as functional as they are versatile. We have a bunch of clothing arrivals just in time for those temperature swings. Here are some standouts:

Lifestyle:
1. prAna Foundation Crewneck: Funnel necks are awesome. Wear them high or wear them down, they are comfy! This crewneck is super versatile and goes with a ton of stuff. 2. Ripton and Co Overalls: Perfect for a day where you are going from the bike or to the town. I love the stretch these have, and the pockets! 3. Columbia Wildone Heritage Sneaker: The modern sneaker for the outdoors. Lightweight, comfy as all heck, and ready for the city or the trail!

Tech:
4. Arc'teryx Atom LT Hoodie: This is my go-to layer. In the spring and fall, it's the perfect amount of insulation. In the winter it's my everyday ski touring layer! 5. The North Face Never Stop Wearing Cargo Pants: Hiking, Check. Biking, Check. Some stretch in a lighter material dries quickly, and can take a beating! 6. Salomon Wildcross 2: Heavy lugs, lightweight, and decently stiff. I love the combination and versatility of this shoe. Wet rocks are no match for these.

Lifestyle:
1. Carve Designs Collete Tunic: This takes your cozy turtleneck and brings it up a notch. Fun style, fun material. 2. Carve Designs Carson Jean: Your classic jean with a little flare. 3. Toms Women’s Paxton Slip-On: If grab-and-go was a shoe. Comfy, styling, awesome.

Tech:
4. Arc'teryx Beta LT: Lightweight, insanely dry, has good pockets and can take a beating. Stare bad weather in the face with confidence. Fall can turn from nice to cold and rainy at any time, so be prepared and excited for bad weather... 5. Arc'teryx Sabria Pant: 4-way stretch, low profile. No bulk comfort, for long hikes, and resistance to the gnarly and rough outdoors. Oh, and the color is fantastic! 6. Altra Women’s Lone Peak Low All-Weather: Waterproof and rugged comfort. The outsoles are super grippy on wet terrain, but the softer midsole allows for insane comfort. Gaiter loops for those soaking days, with color and style to even make the trail head turn.

Lifestyle:
1. Cotopaxi Abrazo Fleece Jacket: Pop of color on top of some earth tone. Need we say more? Full zip with classic fleece styling. Great for brisk walks with the kiddos or heading to the bar for a brew. 2. Kuhl Freeryder Pant: Remember those ugly dad pants of yesteryear? Yeah, say goodbye. Packed with great pockets, and with a fit designed for movement. These wear in really nice and can be worn for a long time. 3. Danner Logger 917 GTX: Styled like the traditional logging boot but way lighter. If you want waterproof with heritage styling, these will have you stoked for colder temperatures!

Tech:
4. The North Face Canyonlands Hoodie: Classic midweight zip fleece. It stretches and with the hood, is awesome for those outdoor fall objectives. Lower profile means almost no bulk under your favorite shell. 5. Arc'teryx Gamma AR Pant: Moisture-resistant, ultimate tech pants. Obviously, they stretch, but the fit is really the great part. Straight leg with a tapered less boxy fit and articulated knees give you movement for whatever… And toss in the cinch cuffs, you’ve got adjusted length and tightness for boots or climbing shoes. These are mid-weight, adventure glory, but pants. 6. La Sportiva Ultra Raptor II Mid Boots: These are some of the baddest boots on the planet for this year. Designed with neoprene upper in the cuff, the comfort and closeness to the foot when worn are unmatched. This is the perfect hiker for anyone needing to navigate the toughest terrain and the daily grind. Remember. When shopping for new fall looks, versatility should be at the top of your list!
