OGE Consignment - Back to the Basement!

What is happening with OGE’s consignment department? Outdoor Gear Exchange (OGE) is moving its consignment department back to the basement of its Church Street store, almost doubling the space to offer a larger, better-organized, and more easily shopped selection of pre-owned gear. When will the new consignment space open? The expansion will take place the week of March 10, 2025, with a grand reopening event scheduled for March 15 at noon. PLEASE NOTE: The Consignment Department will be closed for shopping on Thursday 3/13 and Friday 3/14 as we work to set up the new space. We will still be able to accept consignment goods throughout the closure. Why is OGE making this change? This move is part of OGE’s commitment to sustainability and our dedication to providing high-quality, affordable gear to all. As we enter our 30th year we want to ensure that this commitment rings true in the Burlington community and beyond. Where will the consignment department be located? The consignment department will return to its former location in the lower level of OGE’s Church Street store, which will be redesigned for improved merchandising and a better shopping experience. Will there be any changes to the consignment process? The process of consigning items will remain the same, but with the expanded space, OGE’s consignment team will be able to accept more high-quality, gently used outdoor gear. How does this expansion benefit customers? Customers will enjoy:

- A more organized and shoppable layout
- More opportunities to consign their own gear
- Additional space on the main floor for seasonal and specialty gear, technical and lifestyle clothing, and outdoor footwear
Is the lower level accessible? Yes, our lower level is accessible via our elevator, located on the northern wall in the Camping Department. Anyone is welcome to use the elevator at any time during business hours. How can I stay updated on the reopening and consignment news?
