Gear Review: La Sportiva Futura

Welcome to the future. The La Sportiva Futura is based on a revolutionary new philosophy of construction, based on the absence of the usual "edges" of the sole and the use of a thinner and more homogeneous rubber layer which increases sensitivity and allows the foot to exert a uniform pressure on the inner walls of the shoe. The No-Edge construction reduces the distance between the foot and the rock and to maximize the contact surface with endless forms of support allowing climbing that is more fluid, accurate and natural. This philosophy of construction, already on the Speedster model is applied on Futura in a new way, designed to meet the needs of average climbers.
