The sustainable single rope! The 9.8 Transformer is made from transfer yarns, high-quality left-over yarns that are normally disposed of unused due to their mixture of colors. As well as saving valuable resources, every meter of the resulting rope has a unique design. New for Spring 2015, Mammut has reinvented their dry treatment process, as the UIAA has rolled out specific dry rope testing standards for the first time. The Transformer Protect rope has a coated sheath thanks to Mammut's patented COATINGfinish™ technology which creates lasting water and dirt repellency. It held onto 36% of its weight in UIAA water repellency test making it an excellent choice for 3 season sport climbs where things may be damp but not soaking.
