Meet An OGExpert: Andrew Eller
Lindsey Garland
What’s an OGExpert? They’re the folks that huff and puff alongside you in the skin track, give you a yell from the lift, move that pad for you at the climbing gym, share their granola at the summit, or help you change a flat tire at the bike trailhead. They’re us. We’ve done it all, and used pretty much every kind of gear along the way. We live, breathe, and recreate with the community.

7 years

Logistics Supervisor
WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO VERMONT?
I came to VT from Columbus, Ga back in 2011 before my junior year of high school started. My dad was in the military, got stationed up here, and I've been in VT ever since. Being in VT has given me the opportunity to meet loads of new friends, my fiancée, and my love for all things outdoors.
WHAT WOULD YOU CONSIDER YOUR AREA OF OUTDOOR EXPERTISE?
Disc Golf. It's still a growing sport around the world and VT is one of the biggest disc golf communities around. I've been playing for about 8 years now and I never get bored of it. I hope that more and more people catch the bug like I did. It's an extremely accessible sport. Most courses around are free to play and discs are fairly cheap. You only need one disc to play, so get yourself one and hit the fairways.
FAVORITE PIECE OF GEAR?
Thermarest Z-Seat without a doubt. It's super light and packable. You can bring it on any outdoor adventure you're on. It's prime for biking, disc golf, camping, and hiking. It really comes in clutch when you need to chill out on the trail and have a comfy place to sit. If you don't have one you're missing out, buy one or two!
TELL US A FUN FACT ABOUT YOURSELF!
I just recently learned how to do a loon call, so you may hear me practicing if you're ever in the shop.
