I purchased this stove to replace an older whisperlite that I had. I picked it up because of the size, weight, and price and I was very happy once I got out and used it. Now I take it with me on just about every longer hike in the fall and winter. It boils water quick enough that a quick stop can be enhanced with hot drinks or hot food. It doesn't have an auto igniter so be sure to bring that with you. You can easily fit a standard Bic lighter in the case it comes with / folds up into.

I've used this stove several times now camping in the Adirondacks and Green Mountains, as well as a longer backpacking trip in Alaska. I like how small this stoves folds up to, with the carrying case leaving space for a lighter, so you don't leave home without a way to ignite the stove. It boils water fast enough and I have only knocked the pot off once, but that was my fault and not due to the size of the supports. For the price, it's reliable and you can't beat it.
