fall arrest harness

Arborists, recreational tree climbers, fire fighter, search and rescue and anyone else who needs to be safe while they are working without solid ground underneath them--now we've got the gear for you. We already stock steel 'biners, beefy pulleys, rescue 8s and NFPA (National Fire Protection Agency) rated equipment, but we're expanding our collection to meet your needs. Work gear is coming in daily, and can be special ordered, but here is what we already have in stock: The Petzl Navaho Sit Harness is an NFPA rated all around work harness. Couple it with the Petzl Top Chest Harness to make it a full body harness or the Petzl Top Croll Chest Harness for a full body harness with integrated ascender with an easy on and off buckle. The Petzl Vertex Vent Helmet is designed for work. It has slots and attachment points for hearing protection, a visor and work headlamps. Petzl Pixa headlamps are designed to fit into the helmet, be worn on your head or be positioned on the ground. They're also waterproof and drop tested for durability. We carry two models: the Pixa 2 and the Pixa 3.

rig

The Rig Descender, the grigri's big brother. It's designed to work with big ropes--nothing smaller than a 10.5 will start it camming. It can be used to set up a haul system, protecting someone ascending a line, and it can be locked if you need to hang out for a while. It's been field tested by the OGE crew as part of a highline system. The large handle is easy to use even with gloves on. The safety gate on one of the plates allows the Rig to be installed moved onto a rope while still carabinered onto a harness, preventing an accidental drop. Petzl's ASAP Sorber is a fall arrestor designed to slide up and down a rope, but catch if you fall. Check out all our pro gear here. We'll add more links as product comes in. As always, you can get it online at gearX.com, or at 37 Church Street in Burlington, Vermont at our store.
